Why I Tutor
I have always loved to learn, and also love to lead. By tutoring, I get to help someone else while expounding my own knowledgebase (all good tutors will tell you, we learn as we teach). At this time, I have recently graduated college and will not begin working until October. This provides me with a great opportunity to tutor students taking summer courses, those trying to finish work left from the previous year due to illness and other circumstances, and those trying to get a head start on the coming year!

My Education and Tutoring Experience
I graduated this May with honors from Villanova University's School of Business with a degree in Accounting. While at Villanova, I also minored in Theology and Religious Studies. As a member of various honor societies at the University, I became highly involved in the business school tutoring honor society, Gamma Phi, and served as president for one and a half years during which time the society experienced dramatic growth and development. With Gamma Phi (both as a member and as president), I tutored one-on-one in various business subjects, and also lead group tutoring sessions with as many as 20 students at one time. I also have experience teaching younger children. At my local parish, I have taught CCD/PREP for grades 5, 7, and 8, and have substituted in every grade (1-8). I also lead the youth ministry program and therefore have experience working with teenagers. As a requirement to work with youth in the church, I have passed State Police and Child Abuse clearances and taken a "Safe Environment" training class.

Subjects
I am qualified to tutor in the following subject areas:
*Most business topics at the college level (especially accounting, management, and marketing)
*Reading / writing as all levels (1-12 and the college level)
*Many "religion" courses including Catholicism at any level, other Christianity topics as most levels, Judaism at some levels, and Islam at some levels (especially in intereligious courses)
*Most 'grammar school' topics (basic science, math through the Algebra level, etc)

Due to the varied nature of the topics I tutor, I prefer to determine a pay rate after discussing your specific needs. If you are unsure that I am qualified for the subject you need, please contact me and I assure you I will be very upfront about anything I am not comfortable teaching.
