ERB/OLSTAT Kindergarten Entrance Testing Tutor!

Hello Parents,

My name is Cat, and I would love to help you get your child into private school. We all know that preparing your child for the ERB test can be stressful and you won't always be certain if you are doing the right thing. I use a wonderful system for acquainting your child with the types of questions they will see on the test, but we will do these puzzles in a playful and fun way, so that your child can learn and practice these necessary skills in a way that is completely child oriented. I also use a variety of puzzles/problem solving activities to help your child stay interested and engaged throughout our whole session. Each child learns differently and I use my background in Early Childhood Education to adapt and use your child's strengths to help him/her prepare for the test.

I know that many families are worried that if they are found having a tutor they will not be accepted into the schools of their choice. It is for this reason that I become a friend to your child, and play and laugh while we learn, if they come to think of me as a friend or a babysitter, they will be less likely to tell the tester that they had a teacher/tutor helping them prepare. I can also assist if you would like to do the test prep yourself, by teaching you how to use the materials and recommending many different toys/puzzles to help develop the skills that will be evaluated on the ERB.

I know how stressful it can be to get your child into a great school. Tutoring can be just as tough on your child as the application process is on you. I stive to make the process as painless as possible for your child. We will meet in a series of 40 minute sessions and work on skills intermittently with play so as not to overwhelm your child. I believe that all children have the ability to ace the ERB but, it always helps to be prepared. Please E-mail me with any questions!
